OUR PRODUCTION ECOSYSTEM
Over the years, Comel has invested in automated systems, robotics and interconnected software to guarantee continuity, certified quality and controlled processes at every production stage.
Laser cutting
Laser cutting is the starting point of every sheet metal production process. At COMEL, this is entrusted to 4 Trumpf systems and 1 Salvagnini system. All are equipped with 6 kW fibre sources, integrated with automatic loading, unloading and material sorting systems.
Combined cutting
Hybrid technology, maximum versatility. The combined cutting department features 3 TRUMPF Trumatic 7000 systems with SheetMaster automated handling.
Deburring and finishing
Surface quality begins with attention to detail. Comel uses 4 Costa sanding machines for deburring and edge rounding, ensuring uniform finishes free from imperfections.
Punching
and panel bending
5 Salvagnini S4 punching machines, 4 Salvagnini P4 panel benders and 1 Salvagnini P2 panel bender, some integrated with Starmatik systems, enable the automatic production of panels and complex components in a single cycle.
Manual bending
With 20 Trumpf press brakes, COMEL meets the widest range of dimensional and geometric requirements, working with ranges from 1 to 4 metres.
Automated bending
For high repeatability production, COMEL uses 5 Starmatik-Trumpf robot cells supplemented by 7 anthropomorphic robots.
Welding and assembly
Comel has 3 automated welding and spot-welding systems, as well as numerous manual stations where craftsmanship and certified procedures combine to create complex structural metalwork components.
Certified industrial coating
Two fully automated powder coating plants, a 6 km internal handling system and an in-house laboratory for chemical-physical and mechanical testing, make COMEL paint coating an Italian excellence.
